Bosch dishwasher error codes

A dishwasher that stops with water inside needs the guide for the code it actually displays. Compare the topics below, then check the model scope before following a cleaning or service procedure.

Similar symptoms do not make the codes interchangeable

Use the full displayed code to choose a guide. The E22, E24 and E25 pages cover different checks around filtration and drainage; the E15 page addresses leakage protection. Do not move from one procedure to another just because water remains in the machine.

A code identifies the warning to investigate. It does not establish which part, if any, needs replacing.

Match the instructions to your model

Use the complete E-Nr from the appliance rating label when looking up the manual. A diagram for another Bosch dishwasher can show a different filter or pump-cover fastening.

  1. Record the full display message and when it appeared in the cycle.
  2. Find the model number and the instructions supplied for your country.
  3. Open the matching code guide and read its scope and safety limits before starting.

If your code is not listed

Check the model manual or contact the manufacturer with the complete message. Do not substitute a similar-looking code from another model or brand.
